Hi, I’m Annie and I want to be healthy. I regularly read about health, including nutrition and exercise. I have recently taken Introductory Nutrition (and the accompanying lab class), Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology college-level courses. I  spend a lot of time in the kitchen making some really tasty yet good-for-you dishes.

I plan to report my findings here in a way that will help others become more informed and make better choices. There is a lot of information out there, and for those who aren’t as involved in health as I am and don’t have the time to seek out the good stuff within that sea of information, I can provide abbreviated reports for you here.

I am an animal advocate and was vegan for almost two years and loved it. I am currently vegetarian (and not completely happy about that) but I hope to soon go vegan again. I have learned much about human food consumption and how it affects not only our own health but also the world and its many living things.

I strive for knowledge and peace, and I love sharing my knowledge with others. I want to make the world a better place but I can’t do it alone, so I hope to spread information to my readers so that they can begin to make the right choices to benefit themselves, mankind, and living beings.

I am not a doctor or nutritionist, and I am only providing health advice from sources that are more credentialed than I am. Nutrition is mostly a hobby for me, but it is one that I pay attention to constantly and feel passionate about. I’m certainly not perfect and I don’t eat perfectly 24/7. I believe you don’t have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods, but if those foods are not healthy, you should not indulge in them often. That includes meat! If you must, treat it as a condiment, not the main dish.
