Cancer prevention guidelines

In 1997 the World Cancer Research Fund/American Institute of Cancer Research published their expert report on dietary guidelines. Here are some of the exact quotes.

For Food Supply and Eating:

  • Population goal: “population to consume nutritionally adequate and varied diet based primarily on foods of plant origin
  • Individual guideline: “choose predominantly plant-based diets rich in a variety of vegetables and fruits, pulses (legumes), and minimally processed starchy staple foods”

For Meat:

  • Population goal: “if eaten at all, red meat to provide <10% total energy”
  • Individual guideline: “if eaten at all, limit intake of red meat to <80 g (3 oz) daily; it is preferable to choose fish, poultry, or meat from non-domesticated animals in place of red meat.” Continue reading

The basics of pH:

  • The blood pH is the most important measurement for your health; the blood has to be maintained within a strict pH range, which is mildly basic* or alkaline
  • The body will go to great lengths to maintain that pH level, even including messing up other systems of the body to do so
  • Overacidity is at the root of all sickness and disease and it is what is keeping you fat. It “sets the stage for chaos, opening the door to sickness and disease.”
  • Your body is vulnerable to germs ONLY when there is overacidity. In an alkaline environment, germs can’t even grab hold! That’s why if you start getting sick, start eating veggies and fruits and get rid of your crap food (and drinks). Continue reading
